SureTouch™ is the only, FDA cleared, tactile imaging device in the entire field of breast cancer detection. Given MTI’s unique technical expertise and strong intellectual property position, direct competition is nearly impossible.

MTI has secured all useful intellectual property rights for this field; there are no IP encumbrances. The tactile sensor technology that powers the SureTouch™ Pre-Mammogram System is exclusively licensed from Pressure Profile Systems, Inc. to Medical Tactile, Inc. for breast applications.This license also includes the key personnel to provide critical know-how in designing and fabricating the proprietary sensor, electronics and software. Our partner, Artann Laboratories under the leadership of Dr. Armen Sarvazyan, a leading expert in the field of tactile imaging and with the financial assistance from the prestigious National Institute of Health's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) grants developed proprietary advanced tactile image enhancement, feature extraction, and 3D tactile imaging technology. MTI and Artann Laboratories have established a strategic partnership agreement where MTI has exclusive rights to all present and future IP created by Artann relating to the breast field.
